With the innovative IR Touch Screen feature, the units knows the exact moment an x-ray film is inserted, and immediately and automatically increases the light output to an industry-leading 2000 Candela per meter squared in that area of the screen. CT, MRI and Ultrasound images are also viewable.

Innovation In Backlighting Illumination.
The designers and developers of INTERSECT recognize that the key to accurate diagnostic imaging is in backlit illumination. That’s why instead of having a typical LCD monitor that uses cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL) as the backlight source, Intersect uses an LED monitor that uses white LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) as the backlight source for illuminating the panel.

Contrast ratios refer to the ratio of the brightest color to the darkest color. With traditional CCFL backlit displays, contrast ratios are limited to the fluorescent lamp’s ability to dim in order to reproduce darkness.
However, with the LED backlight, each LED has the ability to completely shut off allowing for a near infinite ratio of black to white contrast. The end result is true blacks that result in greater overall image quality.
The LED backlight technology that INTERSECT uses provides a brighter cleaner light that enables better clarity and more accurate readings and interpretations.
