Diagnostic Images That Help Save Lives, Should Be Viewed As Big As Life.

INTERSECT has as its core a 32” ultra-high brightness (>2000 Candela) IR Touch LED Panel PC.  With it class-leading size and brightness and the ability to expand or decrease the size of images with a simple touch, images viewed on INTERSECT will appear as big as life.

Efficient. Proactive. Intuitive.

INTERSECT also has the ability to split its screen to enable efficient simultaneous reviewing of PACS images and analog x-ray films together….side-by-side….in real-time.  This unique split screen capability also allows you to display a worklist on one side and a PACS image or x-ray film on the other.

With the innovative IR Touch Screen feature, the units knows the exact moment an x-ray film is inserted, and immediately and automatically increases the light output to an industry-leading 2000 Candela per meter squared in that area of the screen.  CT, MRI and Ultrasound images are also viewable.

Feeling Secure Is One Thing, But Actually Being Secure Is Completely Another.

INTERSECT is different from any other PC / Monitor on the market, not only because of its dual format viewing capability, but also because of the many forward-thinking security features that have been built in to it.

These built-in security functions have been thoughtfully designed to work with your healthcare access control software to allow doctors and other healthcare professionals the ability to login and access encrypted information.

Features such as an Onboard Biometric Fingerprint Reader, Cat Card Swipe & Electronic Signature Pad enable proximity login for access to secured data.

Innovation In Backlighting Illumination.

The designers and developers of INTERSECT recognize that the key to accurate diagnostic imaging is in backlit illumination.  That’s why instead of having a typical LCD monitor that uses cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL) as the backlight source, Intersect uses an LED monitor that uses white LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) as the backlight source for illuminating the panel.

LED backlighting provides the following benefits:

  • About 40% - 50% less power consumption compared to typical LCD monitor
  • 5,000:1 MEGA Contrast Ratio
  • Mercury-free backlight
  • Longer bulb life – 100,000 hour half life vs. 60,000 for LCD
  • Low EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference)
  • Slimmer design
  • Weight reduction

Viewing Things As Either Black Or White...Literally.

Contrast ratios refer to the ratio of the brightest color to the darkest color. With traditional CCFL backlit displays, contrast ratios are limited to the fluorescent lamp’s ability to dim in order to reproduce darkness.

However, with the LED backlight, each LED has the ability to completely shut off allowing for a near infinite ratio of black to white contrast. The end result is true blacks that result in greater overall image quality.

The LED backlight technology that INTERSECT uses provides a brighter cleaner light that enables better clarity and more accurate readings and interpretations.

Infrared (IR) Touch Screen:  Functionality, Unparalleled Adaptability, Time-Tested Reliability.

Infrared Touch Screen Benefits:

  • 100% light transmission since no overlay covers the display screen.
  • Several types of stylus materials can be used on Infrared Touch Screens.
  • Infrared is the earliest and most reliable touch screen technology, due to the improvement of LED materials. The lifespan is much longer for Infrared Touch Screens than other types.

A Thin Client Appliance That Offers “Fat” Advantages and Benefits.

The use of Thin Client Appliances result in cost savings for the following factors:

  • Fewer software licenses required since data is pulled from the terminal server.
  • Lower power consumption lowers utility bills.
  • Lower cost of replacement.

Other advantages of Thin Client Appliances are:

  • Data is more secure since it is stored on the terminal server.
  • Easier to monitor and enforce data management policies.
  • No hard drive to fill ensures a great utilization of storage.
  • Easy to set up and deploy.
